Georgia senior Elija Godwin won the men's 400-meter title in 44.75 seconds to equal his own world lead and No. 5 all-time collegiate indoor mark at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Godwin, who overcame food poisoning to race in the final, captured the first men's indoor 400 crown for Georgia since Torrin Lawrence in 2010 to contribute to the Bulldogs securing second place as a team with 40 points.
