Caleb Cavanaugh, a junior at Georgia representing the United States, won the men's 400-meter hurdles gold medal in 49.35 seconds at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Under-23 Championships at the National Stadium in San Jose, Costa Rica. Cavanaugh also joined forces with former Georgia teammate and adidas professional athlete Will Sumner, as well as Central Florida's Kiah Williams and USC's Bailey Lear to capture gold for the U.S. in the mixed 4x400-meter relay in 3:14.71.
