Casey Clinger 1st Place Men's 3000m - Arkansas Razorback Indoor Invitational 2023

Brigham Young senior Casey Clinger won the men's 3,000 meters in a personal-best 7:43.96 to eclipse the 1985 program record held by Cougars coach Ed Eyestone at the Razorback Indoor invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Clinger covered the final 400 meters in 57.04 seconds to lead four competitors under 7:50.0. It marked Clinger's first race since running a personal-best 13:17.36 in the 5,000 meters Dec. 3 at Boston University. Eyestone ran 7:45.16 for a converted 3,000-meter performance from an 8:23.16 2-mile race in Texas. More videos |
